After two years promoting their acclaimed second studio album “Until The Sunrise Again” and having toured across six countries alongside some of Metal’s biggest names such as Blind Guardian, Angra, Symphony X, U.D.O, Ensiferum, Sonata Arctica, Hammerfall, and Tim “Ripper” Owens, Brazilian band Trend Kill Ghosts embarks on a new chapter in their already solid trajectory with the release of their conceptual EP “Facing My Ghosts”, offering a glimpse of what’s to come in their forthcoming third full-length album.
Released alongside a cinematic music video for the track “The Ferryman”, this EP presents a deeper, darker, and more mature version of Trend Kill Ghosts. The band explains:
“We felt it was time to show another side of ourselves. Since the beginning, we’ve encouraged our fans to ‘kill their ghosts’—a reference to our debut album Kill Your Ghosts—facing whatever fears or obstacles keep them from chasing their dreams. But we also know this battle isn’t always simple. Facing My Ghosts is a conceptual work where our Warrior faces his own fears, overcomes trials, and rises from the darkness to ultimately reach his glorious destiny. Each track represents a chapter in this battle, celebrating the shadows and the light that live within us all.”

Formed in 2018 by Diogo Nunes and Rogério Oliveira, Trend Kill Ghosts fuses Power, Heavy, and Melodic Metal, drawing influence from bands such as Gamma Ray, Helloween, Avantasia, Edguy, Savatage, Metalium, Nocturnal Rites, and Stratovarius. Their songs carry a powerful message that inspires listeners to face their inner demons and pursue their goals with courage and determination.
Their debut album “Kill Your Ghosts”, released in July 2019, featured a special guest appearance by renowned German vocalist Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, ex-Gamma Ray), and was widely praised by both Brazilian and international media. The success of the album also earned them spots sharing the stage with iconic bands like W.A.S.P., Accept, Viper, and Elvenking.
The current lineup of Trend Kill Ghosts features Diogo Nunes (vocals), Rogério Oliveira (guitar), Fabio Fulini (bass), and Cleber Castellano (drums).
“Facing My Ghosts” was recorded with clean, guttural, and backing vocals by Diogo Nunes; guitars by Rogério Oliveira; bass by Fabio Fulini; and drums by Leandro Tristane. The EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Rogério Oliveira at Flight Studio, with choir arrangements, orchestrations, and co-production of the vocals by Fábio Caldeira (Maestrick). The cover artwork was created by Carlos Fides, with promotional photos and the direction of both “Facing My Ghosts” and “The Ferryman” videos handled by Maycon Avelino.
