CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD is back today with their latest AOR masterpiece, “Chasing Danger”. This new album delivers ten tracks of high-energy melodic rock, infused with that unmistakable Swedish touch. Fans of The Night Flight Orchestra and H.E.A.T. will find the perfect mix of melody, power, and groove in this release.
At the end of 2023, the band faced a turning point when lead singer Martin Holsner stepped down to focus on his family. With multiple lineup changes over the years, the thought of calling it quits crossed their minds – but fate had other plans. When bassist and founding member Robert Majd heard Fredrik Vahlgren sing, he instantly knew the band had to continue. With renewed passion and a fresh voice, Captain Black Beard set out to create their strongest album yet.
For the first time in their 15-year history, 2024 saw the band step away from live shows to focus entirely on perfecting “Chasing Danger”. Recorded at Wing Studios in Stockholm, under the expert guidance of producer Sverker Widgren, with Robert Majd & Daniel Krakowski co-producing, the album is packed with standout performances – including Vinnie Stromberg’s powerful drumming, Oscar Bromwall’s soaring guitar work, and John Lönnmyr’s masterful keyboards.

- “When It’s Over” – Co-written by Wildness’ Erik Modin, this lead single sets the tone for the album.
- “A.I.Lover” – A modern AOR anthem.
- “Shine” – Their signature Disco-AOR style in full force.
- “Piece Of Paradise” – A stunning piano ballad co-written with The Night Flight Orchestra’s John Lönnmyr.
- “In Your Arms” – A grand, epic closer.
