Rochester (NY) – Underground death metal philosophers Contrarian are back with their sixth studio release, Escaping Depravity! The bar has been raised yet again on this ambitious, musically enthralling album!

In this 30-minute, single track opus, the band returns to its roots with founding members Jim Tasikas and George Kollias, delivering an intricate and relentless exploration of progressive death metal. True to their signature sound, Escaping Depravity weaves together technical complexity, philosophical introspection, and theological themes, all while pushing the boundaries of death metal’s brutal and cerebral qualities.
