Corners of Sanctuary Drop a Blazing Cover of 80s KISS Classic
Hard and heavy rockers Corners of Sanctuary (COS) pay tribute to KISS’ iconic powerhouse 80s anthem with the release of their stylized cover version of “Lick it Up.“
“Lick it Up” appear on the band’s deluxe edition of “Taking Cover: a digital copy” EP, which originally released in 2023 via SODEH Records. The deluxe edition not only expand the EP’s already adrenalized track listing but also adds precedence to Corners of Sanctuary‘s consistent commitment to honoring the classics.
“These days, nostalgia is big business, and nostalgia is part of what we do,” says COS guitarist and founder Mick Michaels. “We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for songs like these…this is our way of saying thank you.”
With 2026, Corners of Sanctuary is celebrating its 15th year anniversary as a band. This release is the first and just part of a year-long celebration of new music, CD reissues, and more slated to drop.
“It feels like a month ago I joined the band for a summer’s worth of shows,” says COS drummer Mad T. “Time has flown so quickly and COS has done so much over the years that everything starts to blend together… it’s been a great ride with a great band.”
“Lick it Up” is now available for streaming on most major platforms via SODEH Records.

Since 2011, Corners of Sanctuary has toured throughout the United States as well as performances in Europe, the UK, and Canada. During that time, COS has shared the stage with many notable and legendary acts including Stryper, UDO, Saxon, Anvil, the Iron Maidens, Grim Reaper, Enuff Z’Nuff, Britny Fox, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat and many more. Over the last three years, Corners of Sanctuary has had multiple songs appear on several indie charts worldwide.
