D1STRAUGHT unleashes blistering video for ‘Preceptos de Exterminio’
Metallic power and technical finesse that probes deeper mysteries

Chilean metal heavyweights D1STRAUGHT have kicked off an ambitious new chapter with the launch of their highly-anticipated single and music video, ‘Preceptos de Exterminio’ (Precepts of Extermination). This release, available now on YouTube, is a conceptual statement marking the band’s evolution. It serves as the first taste of their forthcoming EP, projecting their furious salvo towards the entire Spanish-speaking world… and more.

With a track record spanning over a decade, including acclaimed LPs like “Majestic Twelve” (2021), D1STRAUGHT are by no means newcomers. They are seasoned musicians who have meticulously redefined their approach for this new chapter. ‘Preceptos de Exterminio’ is the very spearhead of a promotional EP set to be unveiled over the coming months.

This new cut is a devastating and precise piece of work that encapsulates the quintet’s maturity. It delivers razor-sharp Thrash Metal that ventures uncompromisingly into Death Metal territory, all articulated with a technical finesse and progressive flourishes that call to mind the genre’s pioneers. It possesses the sheer heft of classic metal, yet is executed with a crisp, modern production-unquestionably the most polished sound the band has forged in-studio to date.

“It’s the result of our evolution and the quest for our most potent studio sound yet”, the band comments and adds: “We wanted to present our style in a new way-more direct, more hard-hitting. This is our calling card to the entire scene in Latin America and Spain, seeking to connect with an audience that, like us, lives and breathes metal and demands music that is both conscious and defiant”.

Formed in Santiago, Chile, in 2010, D1STRAUGHT crafts a brand of Thrash Metal that sits on the bleeding edge of Death, infused with progressive tints and a clear virtuoso streak. The current lineup features Aníbal Sáez (Vocals), Chris Vargas (Guitar), Juan Fuentes (Bass), Leonardo Guzmán (Drums), and Héctor Guzmán (Lead Guitar). With a solid discography under their belts and a formidable reputation forged on the live circuit, the band is now poised for international expansion.
