Premiers New Single & Official Music Video “Thunderground”
New Album “In Darkness All Shadows Gone” Arrives October 2
Colombian extreme metal band ESHTADUR has shared the official music video for their new single, “Thunderground”. The track is a relentless, straight-to-the-point headbanger from the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, “In Darkness All Shadows Gone”, out October 2 via Rockshots Records, marking the band’s most ambitious conceptual release to date.
“Thunderground” is the manifestation of the Thunder God, the celestial force that shatters illusion and awakens consciousness. Across ancient traditions, those struck by lightning are believed to receive a sacred calling, a gift, or a radical spiritual transformation. Here, thunder becomes an explosion from the heavens sent to shake the soul awake. It is both destruction and revelation: the crow had to be awakened, and this is its furious call. Fast, heavy, straight to the point, and charged with lightning. Echoing the lyrical imagery of vultures in the rain and Jupiter’s arms flashing across the sky, the narrative symbolizes a violent awakening from darkness to light, perfectly matching the track’s heavy intensity and fierce vocal melodies.
Built on direct, heavy riffs and a blistering tempo, “Thunderground” captures the apocalyptic majesty of a storm. Exploring themes of spiritual awakening and celestial power, the song reflects the terror and awe of a divine force that shakes the heavens.
As written in the lyrics by vocalist and guitarist Jorg August:
“Terrifies for a hundred miles
Trembling the earth…”
The album “In Darkness All Shadows Gone” explores themes of mysticism, reincarnation, and spiritual inheritance. It follows the shamanic figure of the crow through existence, the void, and ultimate self-discovery, pairing ESHTADUR’s melodic black/death metal roots with dark, cinematic orchestration.
ESHTADUR will bring this storm to European stages this November and December on “The Shadow Of The Crow” European tour:
