RELEASES NEW SINGLE “OVERMAN X SCOTT STORCH” – LISTEN HERE
Fatal Switch returns with their new album “Black Sky Anthem”, out June 26, 2026 , their most ambitious and fully realized release to date. Marking the first time the band has written and recorded as a unified unit, the album represents a complete creative rebirth. Following their debut, Tobin rebuilt Fatal Switch from the ground up, assembling a lineup driven not only by intensity, but by a shared commitment to exceptional songwriting.
More than 50 songs were written, deconstructed, and refined throughout the process, with a sharpened focus on melody, structure, and lasting impact. The result is a record that is as cohesive as it is accessible without sacrificing the emotional weight and heaviness that defines the band’s sound.
Recorded at Uplift Recording Studios and produced by Kevin Jardine (Slaves on Dope), Black Sky Anthem captures a band fully in command of its identity. Jardine’s extensive production credits, including work with members of Korn, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, 311, In Flames, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Faith No More, Mastodon, Run-DMC, Anthrax, and Sepultura, bring a polished yet aggressive edge to the album.
Fatal Switch comment on the theme of the album “Lyrically, the record confronts the chaos of modern life head-on. Themes range from systemic oppression and corporate greed (“STFU”) to betrayal (“Break”), grief (“Between You and I”), and self-destruction (“Arthur Fleck”). Tracks like “I Pray You Hate Me” explore supernatural horror and tragic love, while “OVERMAN” draws from Nietzschean philosophy to examine death, rebirth, and transformation. Elsewhere, “Nevada” captures a sense of hopelessness, and “What Would a Hero Do?” questions the moral collapse of institutions. At its core, “Apex” stands as a defiant anthem of resilience about being knocked down and rising again.
We called it Black Sky Anthem because it exists in that space between darkness and clarity, like breaking through heavy clouds and realizing there’s still something above them,” they add. “That’s what this record feels like to us.”

Fatal Switch is also unveiling their new single “OVERMAN x Scott Storch” (an american songwriter and producer with credits to The Roots, Dr. Dre, Beyonce, 50 Cents and more!). A powerful introduction to Black Sky Anthem, blending crushing intensity with melodic precision, the track explores themes of transformation and self-confrontation, capturing the essence of the album’s darker philosophical core.
“‘OVERMAN x Scott Storch”’ is rooted in the idea of becoming something new by confronting your own darkness,” the band explains. “Not avoiding it or masking it, but moving through it. Working with Scott Storch brought that concept into focus in a way we couldn’t ignore.”
