FEUERSCHWANZ RELEASE NEW SINGLE ”CARPE NOCTEM” (FEAT. IN EXTREMO) — WATCH THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO HERE!
METFEST 2026 ON DECEMBER 19 IN ESSEN + CO-HEADLINE TOUR WITH IN EXTREMO KICKS OFF IN APRIL 2027
FEUERSCHWANZ invite you to enjoy the night to the fullest and leave all rules behind with the release of new single ”Carpe Noctem’‘ feat. legendary IN EXTREMO! The song combines the unmistakable energy of FEUERSCHWANZ with the characteristic sound of IN EXTREMO. Together, they unleash an anthem to the night, bringing both bands’ voices and the unmistakable sound of FEUERSCHWANZ together. ”Carpe Noctem” stands for freedom and those moments when nothing matters but living in the here and now.
The feature with IN EXTREMO could hardly be more fitting: In 2027, both bands will embark on their major ”Heute wird der Himmel brennen” co-headline tour across Germany. ”Carpe Noctem” already provides the perfect soundtrack for this tour – loud, anthemic and made for unforgettable sing-alongs and long nights. Before the joint tour kicks off in spring, FEUERSCHWANZ will celebrate their big METFEST on December 19, 2026 at the Grugahalle in Essen.
FEUERSCHWANZ on “Carpe Noctem”:
”’Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make.’ That is how Count Dracula spoke in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel. In our journey into the nocturnal world of the walking undead, ‘the children of the night’ become ‘the warriors of the night,’ and we are joined by the fine company of IN EXTREMO! As a band that emerged from the German medieval rock scene, this is a true accolade, and we are looking forward to howling at the full moon every night on the joint tour! Because it is only at night that we are free — CARPE NOCTEM.”
FEUERSCHWANZ are one of the most successful bands in German folk metal for years. With Memento Mori and Fegefeuer, they achieved two consecutive #1 positions on the Official German Album Charts. Their latest studio album Knightclub continued this successful path, taking the band even further beyond genre boundaries. Countless sold-out shows, as well as headlining and co-headlining slots at major festivals across Europe, prove that the band has reached the very top.
