For the Pyres Premiere New Video “All Becomes None” via Invisible Oranges | New Album At The Pyres of Sin out May 9 via Gruesome Records!

Swedish death metal force For The Pyres have just premiered their brand-new video for “All Becomes None”, off the band’s debut album At The Pyres of Sin — out May 9 via Gruesome Records.
The video premiered at Invisible Oranges, who praised the track’s high-octane delivery, stating: “This speed pairs well with their guitar tone, courtesy of the HM-2, altogether adding a bit more sizzle to the steak, so to speak. ‘All Becomes None’ is a straightforward track with a narrow focus, but charmingly so, as For the Pyres hone in on their national death metal identity.”
For The Pyres emerged in 2019 in Sweden from a shared drive to create fast-paced death metal infused with the influences that shaped them over the years. Their goal was simple but sincere: to write music that they genuinely enjoyed and that reflected their musical roots. The creative process was driven by instinct, allowing the music to flow naturally and ensuring an authentic, raw edge in their sound.
Influenced by old-school death metal and the distinctive HM2 sound, the band initially released two demos that leaned heavily into this sonic blueprint. However, for their debut album, they deliberately opted for a darker, more atmospheric tone—described as an “old, grayish brother from another mother demon.” Despite this shift, the HM2 sound remains a staple of their live shows, bringing that classic crushing intensity to the stage.
“For The Pyres embody the essence of what drives us as a band and the music we create. For us, it symbolizes the heart and soul poured into the art we admire: a passion that burns fiercely, like an unrelenting fire.” Says lead guitarist Toni Siira.
Their debut album, “At The Pyres of Sin,” is set to be released on May 9 via Gruesome Records. It’s a ferocious blend of fast-paced aggression and melodic intricacy, channeling influences from the early ‘90s death metal scene (Edge Of Sanity, Unleashed, Dismember), ‘80s thrash metal (Slayer, Sodom, Kreator), and even the melodic flair of classic hard ‘n’ heavy acts like King Diamond, W.A.S.P., and Candlemass. Pre-orders are now available at this location.
