What was the beginning point for your music career? How did it all start?

Insonika is my first proper band. So I started to jam with our former drummer for some time then he contacted his friend and former bandmate Oscar. Then we started to jam together and the result became Insonika.

Were there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?

When forming a band and setting goals to play gigs and create music, there’s always things bound to happen. Relationships turn sour or life happens, then it’s good to take a step back and look at the whole picture and see what can be adjusted.

What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?

Booking our first euro tour done by me and Oscar. Really DIY and enjoyed its peaks and valleys.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Nowadays it’s quite different from our past material but the Insonika sound is still there.

What is your creative process like?

Recording from home, mostly. But jam in the rehearsal space does happen, we are a band that still does it.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I think the industry is past the point where you can “make it”. But I would change it to where you could “make it” and still get good conditions from the industry.

If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?

Play from enjoyment and take it from there.

What has been the best performance of your career so far?

The recent one we’ve had. We were well rehearsed and supported 10 000 years and Firebreather. Great gig.

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?

Music is my passion and not my full time job.

What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?

We had some personnel changes in the recent years. But are still eager to create and play music. This year we are focusing on releasing singles and seeing the result at the end of year. And hopefully go out and play in front of people!
