Meant to be listened to on 8-track in a ’75 Camaro while passing a hash pipe and sipping beer from a pull-tab can, Sadistic Force is the band who will restore the adjective “heavy” to metal music. Emerging from the dark heart of Austin, Texas, they deliver a blistering assault of blackened speed metal infused with old-school heavy metal spirit. Led by James Oliver (guitar/vocals), the band channels the raw intensity of classic Judas Priest, Motörhead, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal while injecting the relentless aggression of extreme metal.

Formed in late 2020, Sadistic Force began as Oliver’s vision of unfiltered, high-energy heavy metal-built on speed, attitude, and a horror-infused aesthetic. What started as a solo project quickly evolved into a full-throttle force of nature, as rock ‘n’roll bassist Mike Gupta and extreme metal powerhouse drummer JP Campo completed the lineup. The result? A band that seamlessly fuses vintage metal riffs, lightning-fast rhythms, and blackened vocals into a sonic onslaught that’s as nostalgic as it is modern.

Their latest release, Morbid Odyssey, is their most refined and punishing work yet. Mixed and mastered by Noah Buchanan (Nunslaughter, Midnight) at Mercenary Studios, the five-track EP showcases Sadistic Force at their most ferocious and focused.Featuring blistering guest solos from Matteo Von Bewitcher (Bewitcher), Tony Rot, and Mark Pursino, the EP stands as a testament to their deep roots in traditional heavy metal, thrash, and extreme metal brutality.

Sadistic Force isn’t just another modern metal band—it’s a high-octane resurrection of metal’s golden era, dripping with raw energy, virtuoso musicianship, and a commitment to keeping heavy metal loud, fast, and unapologetically sinister. With Morbid Odyssey, they’re setting their sights on domination—and they’re ready to take on any label bold enough to unleash their fury on the world.

With Morbid Odyssey to be out on August 22, I had the pleasure to speak with James Oliver on the release and much more on Sadistic Force. Check out the complete coverage on the below YouTube video.
