Welcome, people and friends, to the Kingdom of the Forest. TROLD are finally back, with the sequel to their debut album, titled “I Skovens Rige”. Since “Der Var Engang…” the Danish trolls have been brewing their next adventure in the caves, which is now about to begin. This time they have trudged even further into the deep forest and have written a collection of stories that all centers around the theme of the forest.

All songs in “I Skovens Rige” center in one way or another on the forest, and the listener is taken on adventures of many kinds. The atmosphere is intense and it goes from a furious hunt to a mournful farewell and on to folk celebration and singing together. The focus is on melodies and energy, while the folk aspect continues to compliment Trold’s melodic folk metal. True to tradition, it is full of surprises in the form of guest performances from Esse (ex-HateSphere) on death vocals, Lars Thiesgaard (a famous Danish actor) on characteristic speak and Laura Emilie Beck (ex-Huldre, Ællevild) on violin, among others.

On “I Skovens Rige”, Trold shows their strongest side and cements a solid place on the Danish and international metal scene.
