1.Tell us your name and the band you play for
My name is Lorenzo Pimpini and I am the main guitar player and composer of the heavy metal band STEALTH
2.Who made you want to pick up the guitar
First of all Kirk Hammet from Metallica because me and all the other STEALTH members loved the band.
Subsequently I started studying music theory and harmony and I switched to Dream Theater, Symphony X and prog metal in general. Now I enjoy listening to fusion, epic and jazz music.
3.Are you self taught or did you take lessons?
For many years I have been self taught. From 5 years I started studying at the Modern Music Institute. Director of that school is Alex Stornello, the well known italian jazz holdsworth styler. I graduated in 2019

Yes of course

How many guitar players have it? I am constantly searching it. Actually I use some interesting plugin for guitar.
6.Tell us about your guitar ( brand ,model . year , color ) 7.What about pickups? Passive or active ? Tell us about them
I play 6 string guitar with my handmade BHI pickups and I also play 7 string guitar model Schecter Hellraiser with EMG pickups that are great for the sound of my band.

During live acts I usually play with my Peavey Triple XXX 100 W while in studio Home recording I use KRK Rokit 5 monitor.
9.Do you have a pedal board? Tell us about that badboy
I think this is my sore point. Actually I used to play NUX CERBERUS only for modulation sound with 4 cable technique and I use the crunch channel of my Peavey. But I’d need some suggestion about this…..
10..Now tell us your Dream Rig in detail…..
I would like to come back playing live in tour around the world. I hope that coronavirus pandemic will be ending as soon as possibile, and finally I’d like producing some of my soloist tracks with my style and my sound.
11.What guitarist can you not stand?
For me there is no guitar hero and no guitar failer. Everyone has is own way.
I12. Is tone more important or is technique?
Tone is important because I think it is better few notes played at the right moment than too many notes played in a confusing way.
The fretboard knowledge, music theory with harmony and technique in general are useful to give more space to your creativity
