Greetings from Metalheads Forever Magazine, how are you guys doing?
We are doing fine. Just got our new album “Strafing Run“ out and we are making new songs now.
“Strafing Run” has been released just weeks before, how are you feeling about the release?
We are pretty satisfied, although we had some problems with the album cover. It’s slightly different that is was supposed to be.
What’s your opinion about “Strafing Run” when compared to its Predecessor “On the Way to Sin City”?
This album has more songs than “On the Way to Sin City” and it sounds little bit more like us, I think. Recording process took more time with “Strafing Run”
How did you come up with the name “Guns of Glory” Is there a concept or theory behind it?
Well… I think there is hardly no glory in war so maybe the name is sarcastic or something?
Are you popular among the music community in your country, what are the plans you have made to reach out?
I think we’re not that know to call ourselves “popular”. Well we are filming a music video right now and I think we play gigs and write new material. Same thing that anyone else is doing.
Is touring outside your country among your agenda in support of “Strafing Run”? If so what are the places and countries you have planned for?
Unfortunately we haven’t got a chance to tour outside Finland. Maybe in the future, that would be great.
Guns of Glory has more of an earlier hard rock roots, do you guys want to stick to the same or have any plans to reinvent and put something new into the band?
We always try to get something new to the music and make it sound unique. But the roots are deep.
What are your strategies to reach out to the International Rock community, I know Social networking would be a part of one, apart from that do you use some specific work on it?
Social media is the key nowadays and of course the Internet in general.
Would you like to tell us about how the band evolved and who do the writing and manage the band?
Well we started in 2010 and at first I did lot of songs myself. Now we do the songs and lyrics together. We would be grateful to have a good manager, but now we just do it all by ourselves.
