What was the beginning pint for your music career?
– Childhood. Born and raised in the music industry.
How did it all start?
– Started learning how to writing and play various instruments as a kid. Just kept polishing my craft.
Was there any bumps on the road?
– Always bumps. That is life. That’s how we develop and grow. You want bumps, and I’ve had my fair share too.
What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?
– Music is art, so the challenges arrive at the fork in the road and decide if you just love creating art or you want to learn the business side of things too. Now it becomes business, not just art. That can be challenging.
What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?
– Hearing people sing your songs.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
If Rival Sons and Prince were to have a baby – that would be Fire the Humans. You’ll hear flavors of both.
What is your creative process like?
– That comes in different forms. Sometimes it’s a phrase, sometimes it’s a melody, sometimes it’s groove or a beat.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
– Pay artists for their work.
If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?
– Be yourself. Be honest. Don’t try to ‘make it’ or ‘be famous’ …. You should choose failure than to be paid being something you’re not.
What has been the best performance of your career so far?
– Always the next one.
If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?
– A painter or a writer.
