What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?
When I saw long bangs and a red electric guitar on TV
Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?
Yes. First, getting good enough so things sound the way you want them to. Being able to sound good live, and knowing what style of music to play. For me, it has become the case that I am working on lots of different styles of music in different projects, so I am probably a nightmare for someone who has to package a product. Therefore I have in any case packaged the Operarock part as Lieder Distortion starting this year.
What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?
That I can make a living from music as a freelancer and hopefully have the freedom to do a bit of what I want, such as Lieder Distortion 🙂
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Lieder Distortion makes rock songs from classical music by Mozart, Schubert, Vivaldi, etc. Opera arias and songs that I learned at the opera college and previous music courses
What is your creative process like?
Everything I do usually goes pretty fast, but with Lieder Distortion it’s been just the opposite. Therefore, I have doubted whether I should do this or not. The audience can decide… But combining Rock and Opera is not always so easy. We’ve recorded it several times, sent files, redone, argued a bit and changed our minds…
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Unplug all audio equipment and computers for a year and see what would last
If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?
Lead instead of follow
What has been the best performance of your career so far?
Don´t know’
If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?
Hypnotist, farmer or fireman
What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share
with the world?
We released our second single on March 24. It is a very famous classical song.
