What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?

Hey everyone Random Ties here a rock band from the DMV area in the US, you have myself Yous [Vocals/Guitar] Ron [Bass] & Jack [Drums].

Our sound is heavily influenced by by great bands coming out of that 90’s grunge era such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters & Soundgarden to name a few & they made me want to pick up a guitar.

I also was introduced to music at a very young age by my grandad who used to sing the opera & my grandma played the piano.  I can remember our household always with friends around and everyone singing & laughing.

Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?

In our industry there are bumps in every corner J & the most challenging part is getting your music out there to new audiences and without live music last year that doo shut for us but a window opened & a big thank you to you guys for giving us a voice & an opportunity to get our music out there.

What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?

The most satisfying part is when you finish recording that song, the final mix is done and you begin planning the release its like you created something and giving it life when you release it.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Energetic, upbeat & melodic.

What is your creative process like?

There isn’t an order really sometimes the lyrics come first & other times the guitar, usually someone has an idea or a riff and kind of build from that.

We are also inspired with what’s happening around us & the last two years lot of emotions that came out on paper.

The beauty about creativity is it finds you and not the other way round, you never know when it hits you so always be prepared, keep your ears & eyes open inspiration is found in very unusual places and circumstances.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Pay musicians fairly for their songs & not have big corporation take all the money

If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?

Always remember the reason you started playing music and that will help you along your journey

What has been the best performance of your career so far?

Opening for Otherwise in Detroit was a really nice show, the crowd was really rocking & we made allot of new friends that evening.

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?

Probably a public speaker

What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?

We just released our latest single “They Don’t Care”  https://youtu.be/TrE9fJEjT4M the song is inspired by the on-going conflict in Palestine & abuse of power in South America.

We wanted this song to raise the volume on social injustice.
