Greetings from Metalheads Forever Magazine, I’m Keith Clement, the Editorial Head, how are you doing?Considering the times, we are living in, we are doing great thanks.
Negotium Crucis, is set to be released on September 18, can you tell me about the writing process and production behind it?
Negotium Crucis is an experimental album that bridges the gap between ‘The Great Mortality’ and ‘Agents of Satan’ EP, showcasing the progression and maturity of The Infernal Sea. We wanted this album to be RAW, not only sonically but also in its production values. It captures the ‘Black ‘N’ Roll’ element that we inject into our compositions, it is savage yet melodic, but sounds undeniably like The Infernal Sea.
What is the concept set behind Negotium Crucis?
We lyrically return to the Middle Ages, this time to explore the dark nature of the Knights Templar and their Holy Crusades. The album forewarns of tales of depravity, corruption, deceit, genocide and re-affirms the sadistic nature of mankind.
The album has the classical black metal thing , with more power, great song writing and darkness to it, brilliant work guys, how as a band do you feel about this album?
Thank you for your praise, we are really proud of what we have achieved on Negotium Crucis.
Can you tell me how it all started for you?
The Infernal Sea were born out of frustration and contempt, a union of four like-minded individuals hellbent on creating the bleakest sounds.
What according to you is darkness, and how do you compare it with the current situation?
Life is Darkness.
What are the next plans for the band?
Once the world returns to some kind of normality, we shall tour ‘Negotium Crucis’ and continue working on new material.
What are some of the greatest moments you had since the start of the band?
Performing at Bloodstock Festival, Damnation Festival, Incineration Festival, releasing ‘The Great Mortality’ on Cacophonous Records, touring mainland Europe and sharing the stage with TAAKE, Tsjuder, 1349, Napalm Death are major highlights.
Do you have message for the fans around the world?
