Nasty Savage is an American thrash metal band from Brandon, Florida, formed in 1983 by vocalist “Nasty” Ronnie Galletti. They were extremely influential in the emergence of the Florida death metal scene, inspiring bands such as Death and Obituary. Nasty Savage rose to popularity primarily due to singer “Nasty” Ronnie Galletti’s over-the-top stage performances, where he would smash television sets over his head during early shows.

Their second album, Indulgence, featuring the hit single “XXX,” was recorded at Progressive Music in Tampa. After releasing three albums and one EP between 1985 and 1989, the band broke up. Following speculation about a reunion, their last studio album to date, Psycho Psycho, was released in the spring of 2004. The band played occasional live shows before disbanding again in 2012.

Nasty Savage reformed in January 2016 and has been active ever since. Their new album The Jeopardy Room was recorded at the legendary Morrisound Recording Studio in Tampa, Florida, and produced by Jim Morris, who also worked with bands like Savatage and Crimson Glory.

It was a great pleasure to have the legendary “Nasty” Ronnie Galletti on the Interview to talk on the new release The Jeopardy Room and sharing a lot on the road and history of Nasty Savage and the Florida Death Metal Scene.
