KING ERN hails from the heart of Berlin Germany and was founded as a project in early 2019 by singer Ferdinand aka Figo. The first band rehearsal came in May of 2019, and the first song, “Voice Of The Voiceless,” was created. The original lineup was Paul on drums and Phil on guitar and there was never a bassist. However Phil had to leave the band a month later. In June of 2019, Figo met Daniel, who remains largely responsible for the bands sound and songwriting to this day. Since this was our first band, it took time not only to compose songs but also to find our style. Our debut EP “No Rush” was released in the summer of 2023 and a subsequent single, “Drop” released in the summer of 2024. Daniel played guitars and bass on all of the recorded releases.
The bands first sign of life can be heard in the 2022 collaboration, “Out Of The Norm,” a hip hop, thrash metal, rap production with Simmi The Profit (USA) Figo and Dan of KING ERN (Germany) and Kurnel MC (New Zealand)
We made our debut live performance in October of 2023 in Wolverhampton, England. In the summer of 2024, drummer Paul had to also leave the band and has been replaced by Viviana who performed the second King Ern live show in Berlin in November of 2024. KING ERN opened for SKINLAB (USA). For this as well the Wolverhampton show, George from UK band The Black Hounds played bass and Sven played rhythm guitar.
The masterminds of KING ERN are Daniel and Figo.
