Lyrre combines the organic sound of the hurdy-gurdy with metal riffs and clean vocals. The group’s music oscillates around dark alternative music, prioritizing authenticity over stylistic simplifications.
The band debuted in 2023 with an album featuring production collaboration (on selected tracks) from Noah Sebastian of Bad Omens. The release led to dozens of concerts across Poland and Europe, establishing the group’s position in the neofolk and metal scenes.
The track ‘Still Human’ addresses paralyzing uncertainty and the fear of taking action, contrasting them with the perspective of authorities and heroes who also experience anxiety. The composition is based on the contrast between heavy instrumentation and a monumental chorus conveying the message of acting despite fear.
Lyrre is currently preparing for the release of their second album, scheduled for Spring 2026, which is preceded by singles maintained in a dense, modern style.
The first single announcing Lyrre new album was ‘Orchard’:
‘Orchard’, the first single announcing Lyrre’s second album, is a story about a place “beyond time,” inspired by the Garden of the Hesperides from Greek mythology, where waking dreams intertwine with reality.
