Mystification unleashes their new single: ‘Ancient Gods’
Decoding the cosmic wisdom

After turning heads with their breakout single Declassified Truth, a track inspired by alien revelations and the powerful forces that suppress them, Mexican extreme metal band Mystification returns with their next sonic strike: ‘Ancient Gods’. Once again, the group channels their obsession with hidden truths, weaving a fierce call to rethink the rational frameworks that have shaped our world for centuries.

This release also marks the premiere of their first official music video, featuring the full band on screen. Filmed in a secret, mystical location in León, Guanajuato, and directed by URVN STUDIOS, the clip captures the raw intensity of Mystification’s sound. Earth-shaking brutal death metal fused with haunting shades of black metal, the band’s unmistakable trademark.

“With ‘Ancient Gods’, we wanted to explore our deep fascination with ancient civilizations that supposedly received cosmic knowledge from their ancestral gods, evident in their mastery of astrology, sacred geometry, and the construction of pyramids. The track is a powerful invitation to question our history and the human connection to the universe,” says Adriana G. Puga, guitarist and founding member of the band.

In the video, Puga stars alongside drummer Moritz González, both embodying Egyptian figures. Bassist Osvaldo takes on the role of a Sumerian sage, receiving celestial messages and inscribing them to preserve sacred knowledge. Rounding out the lineup is Sergio Arenas, whose thunderous vocals command the screen with visceral force as the band performs together.

Ancient Gods represents a bold step forward for Mystification as they continue their rise as one of Latin America’s most ferocious voices in extreme metal. The band is already deep in the studio, crafting and recording the material for their debut full-length album, set for release in 2025.
