NEPTUNE UNLEASHES THEIR LATEST ALBUM END OF TIME – A POWERFUL FOLLOW-UP TO NORTHERN STEEL

Swedish melodic metal band Neptune is back with a vengeance, releasing their latest creation, End of Time, on September 20. This highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed 2020 album Northern Steel stays true to the band’s roots while infusing a modern edge that cements their place in today’s metal scene. End of Time was released on CD via Pride & Joy, with vinyl editions available directly from the band’s official website.
A BAND WITH A LEGENDARY HISTORY
Neptune’s journey began in the early 1980s, drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Accept. Throughout the decade, they recorded several demos and even secured funding for an EP—one that, unfortunately, never saw the light of day. This setback led to the band’s disbandment, seemingly for good.
Fast forward 30 years, and Neptune’s legacy was reignited in 2018 when their long-lost recordings from the ‘80s were finally released alongside their early demos in the compilation album Land of Northern. This newfound momentum led to the release of Northern Steel in 2020, marking the band’s full-fledged return to the metal world. Now, with the same lineup as Northern Steel, Neptune delivers End of Time—a continuation of their signature sound, crafted with passion and precision.
THE STORY BEHIND END OF TIME
Neptune is known for their lyrically rich storytelling, often inspired by Nordic history. This time, the band delves into the life of Harald Hardrada, the last known Viking, weaving semi-fictionalized tales of his battles, triumphs, and ultimate demise. One of the album’s standout themes is Hardrada’s final battle at Stamford Bridge, a brutal conflict that marked the end of the Viking Age. His death was seen by his followers as the “End of Time”—a powerful concept that serves as the album’s namesake and thematic core.

Row Alex – Vocals
Anders Olsson – Guitars
Jan Tosh Ason – Bass & Vocals

With a blend of epic storytelling, classic heavy metal influences, and modern production, End of Time promises to be a must-hear album for metal fans worldwide.
