SPIDER ROCKETS are proud to share the official music video for “The Storm,” taken from their latest studio album, Dirty and Bad. The video marks the fourth music video released from the album and the band’s third official performance video from the record.
Inside “The Storm”
For “The Storm,” the band sought to capture the feeling of being caught in something that cannot simply be shut off or walked away from. The video opens with an approaching tornado, rain and lightning, placing the band inside a dark, volatile world where the storm feels both tangible and symbolic of something much deeper.
The main performance unfolds in black and white, surrounded by darkness, smoke, shifting shadows and flashes of light. There is a sense of isolation running through it even as the band performs together – the feeling of being inside your own storm while everything around you keeps moving.
But the video is not only about being consumed by darkness. By the end, the storm has shifted and begun to move away. Rather than spelling out exactly what it represents, Spider Rockets leaves room for the viewer to bring their own meaning to it.
