BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
Beautiful People is a song written by a friend of mine who asked me to collaborate on some of his music. We recorded three tunes together, out of which I liked Beauitful People so much I asked my friend Paul Malcolm’s permission to use it for one of my own records.
We beefed it up a little bit with extra guitars and call-and-response choruses, and it’s come to be one of my favourites on our second album which will be out in early 2022. Lyrically it deals with aging, and losing your power to charm. Paul is a really witty guy and I think the lyrics perfectly reflect that.
The release of A Permanent Shadow’s new album “Humdrum” is scheduled for early 2022.
