A Pretext To Human Suffering started life as a solo project in 2019, the spawn of vocalist, guitarist and song writer Chris Mathis’ fevered imagination. However the beast quickly grew from those isolated origins, with Wes Van Hook (Sold Soul, ex-Lord of War, Inhuman Atrocities), Beto Vipe (Devour the Unborn, Defleshed and Gutted) and Spencer Atkinson-Del Puppo (ex-Cryptic Enslavement) adding their considerable musical muscle to the ranks. Yet even knowing the pedigree of the musicians involved in A Pretext To Human Suffering, nothing could have prepared fans for the decimation and destruction that is Endless Cycle Of Suffering. So much more than ‘just another death metal album’, Endless Cycle Of Suffering draws from all areas of the death metal genre, infusing its brutality with haunting atmosphere, tearing through its torrid darkness with glistening solos and crafting true songs; dynamic and enthralling exercises in the extreme.
