Around 7 is a 3-piece alternative punk rock band from Forfar, Scotland. They have been skating the lines between 90s West Coast punk rock and anthemic alternative rock since their high school days. With melodic riffs, memorable choruses, aggressive dirty bass lines, heavy-hitting technical drumming…and a sock monkey mascot, they are a force to be reckoned with!

In 2023 the band released ‘This Ain’t Your Soundtrack’ which gave the trio a platform and increased visibility across the pop-punk scene in the UK with the track receiving solid airplay. The band were no strangers to performing live but this allowed them to stretch their wings and head out across the country on tour. The band caught the attention of the Canadian label SODEH Records and signed a digital distribution with them in 2024 releasing the single ‘Will To Survive’.

‘A Tale of Martyrs & Heathens’ EP marks their final recordings with their long-term drummer, Chebs. From their classic hard hitting pop punk tones to experimenting with some heavier sounds, this is one of the bands most anticipated releases to date. There’s something for everyone to enjoy with the fourth instalment of Around 7’s discography, including previously unheard songs as well as the aforementioned singles.

Lead single ‘Anything From You’, strips it all back to old school pop punk with it’s sing-along chorus, catchy licks, and teenage angst. The lyrics tell a story of anger, frustration and rebellion against the oppressive world around us. From lying politicians to peer pressure, nobody should be telling you how to live you own life. Sometimes you just need to shut off from it all and keep singing your own song.
