Helping out musicians internationally to Rock and Roll their health. Performing Arts Medicine CMT founded by Head Physiotherapist Anna Achimowicz, with its’ musicians health oriented program – #MusicBANDAid Physiotherapy & complex Body Management was launched in January 2020, as an extension and New Competence Center of Dance Medicine Center Poland, founded in 2012. Physiotherapy for Rockstars is specialised in body management and treatment of musicians, dancers, athletes and stage performers in the live arts industry, offering professional and unique treatment services, focusing on all health and lifestyle needs of touring stage artists and crew and staff.
#MusicBANDAid also offers a wide range of educational workshops and seminars “Body Management for bassists/ dancers/ performers” as well as individual coaching within the seminar series, as well as health consulting for company product production, musical equipment, accessories and attire.
Anna Achimowicz – founder, rock choreographer, and front woman of Rock Dance Theatre. Professional stage performer with over 20 years of experience, performer and physical contemporary dance teacher. Freelance movement director for music videos, fashion, stage and film. Raised in San Diego, CA, based currently out of Europe. Guest teacher and masterclass coach. Author of “TIME to Rock” workshop series, author and Rock Dance Theatre live stream meeting series -podcast host, author. Head physiotherapist and owner of individual medical practice since 2011, Dance Medicine Center CMT and currently Performing Arts Medicine CMT as BANDAid – Physiotherapy for Rockstars specialised in body management and treatment of musicians, dancers, athletes and stage performers in the live arts industry.
Collaborated with world class medical and research centres as Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Rennbahn Praxisklinik in Basel and Carolina Medical Center in Warsaw, being briefly head of the Functional Training & Gyrokinesis department later Anna developed within her own Dance Medicine Center medical practice that she founded almost immediately after receiving her bachelor degree. Currently recognised as Rockin’ Physio, founder and owner of Performing Arts Medicine CMT, bassist, professional choreographer and stage performer with over 22 years of international experience, artistic director of (Theatre Compagnie Achimowicz 2011-2015) Rock Dance Theatre, Rebel Crush. Licensed Physiotherapist BA/ NCMT therapist, GYROKINESIS authorised trainer, IADMS member, author.
Anna is a medical professional with extensive experience of managing chronic pain, injury prevention specific to stage performers collaborated among others w. Karolinska Institutet, Stocckholm, Rennbahn Praxisklinik, Basel and also a multi-talent and freelance artist collaborating with international artists among others within the music, physical theatre and fashion community. Featured in 2021 Bass Player Magazine about musicians health ‘Play Safe’, Bass Musician Magazine, ELLE magazine, Newsweek PL. Currently Bass Musician Magazine contributing author.
