Swedish alternative rock outfit BRING THE HOAX have just released ”Lighthouse”; the second single from their debut studio album ”Single Coil Candy”. A warm and fuzz-driven track, ”Lighthouse” offers huge, melancholic, yet beautiful soundscapes shaped by melodic guitars, emotional lyrics, and bittersweet melodies. With influences from the bands such as SONIC YOUTH, DINOSAUR JR, BUILT TO SPILL and SMASHING PUMPKINS, the Stockholm based four-piece blends the best of the ’90s with their own fresh sound.
The band comments: “We wrote ‘Lighthouse’ to never forget that even in the darkest and the most hopeless of times, there is always someone who wants to listen, help, and be there for you.”
The song came about after a prolonged process with a close friend of the band who had gotten stuck in a relationship that left the person completely controlled by codependency abuse. “Most people can probably relate to the feeling of wanting to leave something, but don’t do it because they constantly hope it will get better again, even though they know deep down it never will.“-Karl Nordahl

”Lighthouse” is out now on all streaming services. BRING THE HOAX’s debut album Single Coil Candy will be released on the 12th of May, 2023 by Lövely Records on all streaming platforms and on pink vinyl.
