Byron Bay Singer-Songwriter Releases Audacious New Single ‘LA’
Byron Bay Singer Songwriter SNOW unveils her tantalising debut single ‘LA’. Daughter of Peter Koppes of The Church fame, SNOW delivers an addictive eruption of rock peppered with chant-along chorus’ and blistering guitars wrapped in a powerfully dynamic package!
This bold new release shapeshifts between punk, hard rock and grunge genres to serve up a delightfully sinister concoction that will leave you craving more! Anthemic chorus’ are sure to become an instant crowd favorite with the words ‘LA’ chanted over delectably exciting instrumentation and exhilarating fretwork. ‘LA’ oozes attitude and vibrance, effortlessly punctuated by spacious passages allowing the song to move, breathe and expand with an organic and authentic flow. Taken from SNOW’s forthcoming EP, ‘LA’ features production by Dave Dogg Atkins, known for his work with Wolfmother and Resin Dogs.
SNOW on the latest single “After having a bad moped accident I was confined to my bed for months. I ended up taking this time to write a batch of songs and ‘LA’ was the clear standout. Inspired by an affair in LA, I wrote a love song about the experience of meeting someone who lives on the other side of the world. I decided to approach Dave Dogg Atkins from Hydrofunk HQ for production, he listened to all my tunes and picked ‘LA’ as his favourite. We proceeded to record and mix the whole song in a matter of few hours! Working with Dave was really exciting as we bounced a lot of ideas off each other. The song was mastered by Shea Roberts, San Francisco, who loved the song so much that he signed me to Rock Box Records! We shot the music video in Lismore, I specifically wanted the video to be filmed at night to really capture the essence of the song (although, it was filmed in the middle of freezing winter!) I’m very grateful to have such a great bunch of people helping me achieve something really special”
Born into the Music Industry, SNOW has been actively writing and performing music across the nation in various musical endeavours that saw her support The Church, Guttermouth, King Parrot, WAAX and more! With her recent signing to Rock Box Records, San Francisco, SNOW is ready to stamp her name in the Grunge Music Scene in Australia & beyond!
