Finland’s Champions of Sorrow have released their debut EP, The Night Makes Us, along with a music video for the title track
Finnish newcomer melodic death metal band Champions Of Sorrow has released their debut EP called The Night Makes Us. The debut EP combines elements of old-school death metal and a jar-load of symphonic epicness, baking it all into a modern death metal shell. In the band’s DNA, you can hear influences from bands such as Septic Flesh and Cannibal Corpse, with a hint of modern deathcore.
“As a musician, I embrace the creative process and the exploration essential to artistry—the journey from chaos to clarity. This EP emerged from a desire to experiment and make music I would love to hear. An incredible team of musicians helped bring my vision to life.” Explains Ville, the frontman and the composer of the band.
Behind the post-production is Finnish studio guru Saku Moilanen, who has worked with bands such as Bloodred Hourglass and Wolfheart. Guitars were recorded by guitarist Juuso Turkki of the band The Hypothesis & One Morning Left. The Music video has been crafted by a talented cinematographer and storyteller, Atte Santala.
