AUSTIN’S COLORBLIND SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “NEEDLE EYE” — WATCH

BAND TOURING WITH CASKETS THIS FALL

Austin, Texas quartet Colorblind, who announced their signing to Tooth & Nail/Solid State last year and whose music is self-described as “Dreamcore,” have shared the video for their brand new single “Needle Eye.” This track and video serve as the band’s debut single for its new label home — and it leaves quite the mark.

Watch the video here.

The song’s contemplative subject matter, which looks inward and considers breaking the cycle of relationship bad habits, is tempered by heartfelt vocals and massive riffs.

“‘Needle Eye’ is the awareness that we have adopted destructive behaviors that were used against us in past relationships, causing us to harm the ones we love,” the band explains. “There is no such thing as love without damage. The decision to break inter-relational cycles requires us to take a raw and honest look at ourselves. It is the choice to take the mirror we use to deflect and turn it toward ourselves.”

Colorblind have garnered 14 million streams in the past year, establishing them as a band to watch and on the verge.

With lyrical depth matched only by their ascendant vocals, Austin, Texas-based dreamcore staples Colorblind have quickly become a name to know in the heavy music world, racking up 28 million Spotify streams, thanks to their rumbling rhythm section, earth-shaking riffs, and airy grooves. That hard-hitting musical combination forms the backbone of “Needle Eye,” Colorblind’s debut single for Solid State/Tooth & Nail. Building on the success of the 2021 hit “Motionless” and self-titled 2022 EP, “Needle Eye” announces a new era for the band — vocalist Travis Moseley, drummer Tyler Moseley, bassist Nicholas Asper, and guitarist Justin Page — with a triumphant widescreen sound, car crash dynamics, and visceral, open-nerve lyricism. With the band currently in the process of finishing their debut full-length, scheduled for release in 2025 via Solid State/Tooth & Nail, Colorblind are newly emboldened by the next phase of their career and poised to bring more of this life-affirming mentality to audiences around the world — mining the inextricably complex emotions found within us while showcasing the tremendous musical and personal growth they’ve experienced over the past few years. “We’ve been wrestling with who we want to be sonically, because we have a huge array of things we want to do,” Travis explains. “How do we condense all of those things down into one sound? We don’t even know who we’re supposed to be, and that’’s the fun of it.”

Colorblind’s tour history thus far includes treks with Until I Wake, Attack Attack!, Honey Revenge, and Secrets. Colorblind also collaborated with Sleeping With Sirens’ vocalist Kellin Quinn, who remixed their track “Everything But Faith,” which has tallied over 1 million streams.

Colorblind will return to the road this September, supporting Caskets. The tour runs through mid-October. All dates are below.
