CRUCIFICTION, the new br00tal deathcore band featuring Bloodbather’s Salem Vex, recently announced their debut album Will to Power. The album is inspired by the raw materials with which nightmares are made and it arrives on October 11 via Rise Records. Pre-order/pre-save it here.
According to the band, Will to Power has an overarching, terrifying concept. It’s told “from the point of view of a man who is exacting revenge on all of his enemies methodically. The main character’s misinterpretation of philosophical works guide him into an extreme and pessimistic viewpoint of the world. The album is heavily inspired by many books and horror films with a nod to classic tropes of the deathcore genre.”
Today, the band has shared the lyric video for “VHS,” featuring death growler Darius Tehrani of Spite.
Crank the knobs to 11 and proceed to headbang so hard you will need an industrial-sized vat of Icy Hot to soothe your sore and aching neck muscles afterwards.
“Thematically, this song paints a story following the album’s main character stalking, filming, and eventually executing his victim. The lyrics follow his thoughts during this process,” the band says.
If all that didn’t make the baby fine hairs on your arms stand on end, nothing will.
