Esteemed for her distinctive blend of dark ambient, post-rock, neo-classical and electronica, CORECASS is set to captivate listeners with new album “TAR”, due for release on 18 October 2024. Collaborating with Moment of Collapse and Sacer Rec., CORECASS‘ latest musical offering comprises eight haunting tracks that traverse realms of existential despair and profound restoration.
Featuring notable guest appearances by Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra, CHVE), Ercument Kasalar (MOOR), and Barbara Lüdde, “TAR” stands as a testament to CORECASS‘ innovative soundscapes and emotive compositions. From minimalist arrangements to bursts of urgent instrumentation, the album showcases the artist’s diverse capabilities in crafting evocative sonic narratives.
The solo project of musician and producer Elinor Lüdde continues to evolve, offering a rich and immersive auditory experience that challenges and captivates listeners. Rooted in a neo-classical approach, CORECASS transcends traditional boundaries by blending piano, organ, harp, drums, and electric guitar into a dark, atmospheric, and cinematic soundscape that defes creative limits.
In anticipation of the album release, CORECASS has unveiled the enthralling single “Disrupt”. This heavily intense track features Ercüment Kasalar, singer of the post-metal formation MOOR, in which CORECASS mastermind Elinor Lüdde plays drums. The song is accompanied by a video, which you can watch here:
Elinor Lüdde shares her reflection on the single, stating:
“‘Disrupt’ by CORECASS stares eyes wide open into the abyss of the soul. The black hole stares back whilst scorching our eyes to blindness, leaving us in darkness – alone by ourselves.”
