“Silurian make a dent in your skull on End of Ordovicia, one of the most bruising three-track pieces you’re bound to hear this summer. The band’s mix of death and black metal feels rich and volatile, full of melody but also chaos.”
– Meat Mead Metal
“The power that they display on this eye opening debut of Avant-garde leanings is exactly what you’d expect from a trio of vast experience. Slick transitions and breakneck tempos accompanying sinister and menacing atmospherics in what feels like an attempt to survive harsh terrain and life threatening conditions.”
– Metal Noise
“With End Of Ordovicia, Silurian are able to reap the bountiful rewards of their volatile blackened death metal within three songs.”
– Heavy Music Headquarters
“Arrives well-prepared from folks who certainly know what they are doing and its presentation greatly benefits from their experience, communicating an intricately stated and neatly formed idea which sells the idea of the project within just a few minutes of imposing detail and high-level expressivity.”
– Grizzly Butts
SILURIAN features members of Suffering Hour, Sunless, and Grand Demise of Civilization. Led by Lucas Scott, the band’s debut EP set the inspiration for the creation of Ordovician Records, and has the distinction of being the label’s first in-house release.
