Today, on the heels of the release of their widely-acclaimed ‘Dirt‘ EP and in the midst of the supporting tour, Down The Lees have released the official video for the EP’s track, ‘Dissolve‘ – check it out here.

Created and edited by the band with of a mix of professional footage by Tyler McLoed from their show in Vancouver with Brutus and fan footage from that show, as well as their shows in Victoria and Nanaimo, the video is a testament to the band’s DIY roots and punk rock ethos – showcasing their eclectic, vivacious performance style.

On the video, bandleader Laura Lee Schultz comments:
Playing live is one of our absolute favourite things. The energy we get from the crowd fuels our performance. We’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with some incredible bands in a wide range of venues. For this video, we asked our fans to film parts of one of our songs ‘Dissolve’ during the last few shows. It was a fantastic way to connect with everyone and break down the barriers between us and our audience. That’s what live music is all about—a unique, shared experience that is unlike anything else.

As seen in today’s video, the band have been working their way across their beautiful home province of British Columbia supporting the release of ‘Dirt’ and are excited to share that they have been included in the first wave of lineup announcements for Massif Fest in Nelson, BC later this year, along with noise-rock contemporaries, KEN mode.

Sharing stages with bands like BrutusChastityDeadBobCultdreamsSpaceQueenPeuk and more, Down The Lees is not a band you want to miss your chance to catch live.
