“Hearing the Bigger Picture” is the debut full-length album from Extreme Mind, an Austrian progressive alternative  metal band formed in November 2017.

The album is a culmination of years of hard work, experimentation and creative evolution, featuring a blend of diverse musical influences drawn from the band members’ unique backgrounds. With a focus on raw emotion, the album eschews genre boundaries in favor of a multi-faceted sound that combines elements of jazz, electronic music, and even traditional Persian music, as exemplified in the track All the Way Down.

The central theme of the album revolves around exploring inner chaos and the quest for self-discovery, offering a reflective view of the human psyche and a desire for personal growth.

Hearing the Bigger Picture doesn’t just present a narrative but invites listeners to experience the emotional turbulence and transformation of the individual.

Though the album underwent several lineup changes over its lengthy production process, it ultimately stands as a testament to the collaborative effort and spirit of the band.

The lineup for this record includes:
        •       Sam Khoshnood – Guitars, vocals
        •       Adrian Walther – Former keyboard player, backing vocals
        •       Merlin Hochmeier – Bass
        •       Chris Novak – Drums
        •       Nora Bendzko – Vocals

With its experimental approach to progressive metal, Hearing the Bigger Picture invites listeners on a sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of the genre, blending technical musicianship with deep, personal themes.
