The multi-artist initiative Hear ‘n Now, which was put together by the Pennsylvania-based music marketing agency, Keep it Metal Promotions, is making the project’s first single, “No Road to Ruin,” available as a free digital download in an effort to encourage Heavy Metal fans everywhere to donate to the Steve Grimmett GoFundMe Campaign. Vocalist Steve Grimmett passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2022 and the GoFundMe Campaign has been organized to assist his surviving widow and family.
Steve rose to fame in the early 80s with the NWoBHM band Grim Reaper. The band carried on in recent years touring worldwide and continuing to release music under his namesake, Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper.
In 2020, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Keep it Metal president, William “Billy” Loney wanted to help those who were immediately affected. He organized a group of artists worldwide to write, record and release a song to help raise awareness and financial assistance for those in need. The group, Hear ‘n Now, released the single “No Road to Ruin.” Steve didn’t hesitate and donated his time and talent to participate in the initiative.
“I was very star struck and humbled to have Steve sing on our project,” said Loney. “Someone of his caliber didn’t have to, but he did and that speaks volumes of his character.”

“Steve’s music has touched the world but “No Road to Ruin” in particular will always be special to me as I hope it will be for his fans,” Loney added. “This re-release is to honor and remember a great man.”
Steve was laid to rest on September 7th in Twekesbury Abbey, UK. The beautiful event was made available for his worldwide fans via a live steam on YouTube.
