BAND SHARES “RAZOR’S EDGE” VISUALIZER — WATCH
Today, Byron Bay metallers In Hearts Wake released the official soundtrack for their groundbreaking feature documentary Green Is The New Black. The special 20-song collection is out now on UNFD. Get it here.
Boasting an array of songs featured in the documentary which delves into the music industry’s environmental relationship, as well as the making of the band’s 2020-released album Kaliyuga, the soundtrack also includes new songs written and produced specifically for the film.
With Green Is The New Black exploring barriers that limit making the music industry carbon neutral and also covering the band’s efforts to 100% carbon offset Kaliyuga, the accompanying OST boasts plenty of sonic light and shade to match the compelling documentary — from the ballad-esque stylings of “Husk (Unplugged)” to a remix of Kaliyuga‘s very own “Moving On,” and the towering riffage and stunning ferocity of “W2HA.”
With the band also nominated for an Environmental Music Prize for their call-to-action single “Worldwide Suicide,” 2022 only strengthens In Hearts Wake’s ever-growing reputation as genuine champions of the earth. Come and witness familiar and fresh sonic moments from In Hearts Wake on this latest release, with the official soundtrack for Green Is The New Black proving to be as hard-hitting and moving as the film’s extremely important messaging.
