Having achieved good reception in the underground with their debut EP, “Visualize”, the brazilian band Inner Eye returns to the scene with the release of their newest single “Motion Is Emotion”.

Officially founded on 2022, Inner Eye has its foundations laid in a solid partnership, which dates back years, between musicians Raul Portugal (voice/guitar) and the guitarist Julian Barg (Dawn Turbo, Carbono project).

Having already collaborated together on other occasions, it was not difficult to align thoughts and actions for a new musical partnership and with this thought comes Inner Eye, a band that focuses on the sounds of Heavy Metal, Heavy Rock and Hard Rock, but with the feeling of XXI century. The addition of musicians Marcio Weil (bass/backing vocals) and Matheus Turner (drums) completed the chemistry necessary to make Inner Eye a complete entity.

According to Julian Barg “As soon as we started working together we realized that the result – regardless of whether I was the producer – was a product of a partnership on all levels, and that musically none of us alone would create these songs in the way they turned out. This was a natural transition into creating a band. No matter who the initial idea for a song comes from, the other contributes in ways that make Inner Eye sound like its own personality”.

Composed by Raul Portugal and Julian Barg and recorded at Calcinatio and Sonoriq Lab studios (Curitiba), with production, mixing and mastering by Julian Barg at Sonoriq Lab, the single “Motion Is Emotion” gives listeners the feeling of passing on positive messages forward, but not necessarily always with a “good” tone, after all, heavy metal is not that, but uniting the weight and sometimes even being harsh in words but without losing the focus of positivity.

According to Julian Barg,“the central concept of the lyrics of ‘Motion Is Emotion’ lies in the perception of movement as a catalyst for emotion and, by extension, for the general state of the human being, covering physical, mental and emotional aspects. He argues that inaction results in a downward spiral, where constant lamentation and attribution of blame to others culminates in a state of stagnation conducive to states of incapacity and depression”.

‘Motion Is Emotion’ also emphasizes the direct influence of emotions on the human experience, highlighting that they act on the physical body and play a crucial role in the way we feel. The act of acting is presented as an antithesis to victimization and negative thinking, providing a constructive alternative to modify the trajectory of life”, concludes the musician.

Vocalist and guitarist Raul Portugal concludes by saying that “it is definitive to believe in your own dreams and feelings, encouraging change as a way to overcome inertia and achieve our goals”.

Along with the single on streaming platforms, Inner Eye is releasing the track’s music video which, in harmony with the song’s sound and conceptual proposal, shows the band always on the move, in dialogue with scenes of nature in action, showing that time and the force that this exerts on the world and people must be monitored so that we can make every minute of our lives count.

The four members of the band are, in these last months of 2023, working towards the completion of the show that will be presented during several dates already scheduled throughout 2024, proof that for Inner Eye, remaining stagnant is not an option, as according to the band, 3 other music videos and a second EP are in the production process.
