What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?

Zlatko and I met each other doing acoustic shows and open mic nights back in 2017. So the next year we started up what would become Otherworldly Entity. That’s why the new acoustic album was so much fun for us… it brought us back to our roots

Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?

We went through our share of drummers. That was the biggest challenge. But then we found Shawn Washer in 2022 and he’s the perfect fit. He has the right energy n the right intellectual curiosity, and amazing skill to back it up

What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?

That would probably be our show in Rhode Island with Infected Rain. Shawn was recovering from putting a nail through his foot in his construction job, and we were offered the show less than a week before it was supposed to happen. It’s an 8 hour drive from where we are, but we were up for the challenge. It was a sold-out show at Fete Music Hall in Providence, and it was just an amazing night. It was also Shawn’s first show with us. The venue treated us like rock stars, and Infected Rain were amazing both on and off stage. Lena from infected Rain was featured in a magazine in Costa Rica back in 2014, and so was I. We were actually back to back in the magazine. So finally meeting her was just a great experience. That whole show was.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Dark, Melodic, emotional. We try to be real

What is your creative process like?

It’s all over the place. Some songs start with a guitar riff from Z, like Red Flags, some start with a Lyric, like Sin. It’s all about what wakes us up and grabs our attention

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

The drama. There’s always some big issue, some big problem, and it distracts from what we’re all trying to do.

If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?

Write for you, not anyone else. If you write for you, it’s genuine, and people will relate to it

What has been the best performance of your career so far?

Wow that’s a hard one. I really can’t pick out a specific show. We’ve played with so many great bands, and we always bring our everything to the stage. I would say the hardest show that really proved what we had was probably our best. We played a festival in 2021, and a couple of hours before our set, I was on stage setting up cameras. It was raining, and I slipped and fell off the stage onto pavement. I fractured my skull, broke six bones, and had a massive seizure from the brain damage. We still played our set, but because my brain wasn’t working, I couldn’t hook our in ears up correctly. So we played without them. We nailed the set, and once I got off stage I was immediately rushed to the emergency room. That was a tough show, but it proved a lot.

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?

I am actually a jewelry and fashion designer. I own JPHii Design. So I do other creative work

What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?

Our new album, Inside-Out, comes out on September 20 along with the music video for Red Flags, a song on the album. It’s an acoustic album, which is really different for us. But metal can go acoustic, and I’m really a fan of the results.
