DUNES DAY HAS ARRIVED

L.S. DUNES DEBUT ALBUM PAST LIVES OUT TODAY

U.S. TOUR KICKS OFF TOMORROW — NOVEMBER 12

Band Also Set For Special Release Day In-Store Performance Tonight at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach, CA

Today, L.S. Dunes — guitarist Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), guitarist Travis Stever (Coheed & Cambria), vocalist Anthony Green (Circa Survive), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday), and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday) — have released PAST LIVES, their highly anticipated debut album via Fantasy Records

Produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Quicksand) and recorded at his Studio 4 Recording in Philadelphia, Past Lives navigates themes of fearlessness, dependency, nonconformity, and impermanence in a boundary-pushing synthesis of post-hardcore and punk⎯that has quickly established L.S. Dunes as a commanding new arrival. From the gripping, theatrical opener “2022,” and the blazing “Bombsquad,” to the pummeling, expansive “Permanent Rebellion,” and the disarming album closer, “Sleep Cult,” Past Livesis an electrifying and emotional ride.

After the shock of the pandemic shutdown, the close friends and mutual admirers urgently realized that “tomorrow” is not promised. “We never knew if we would ever get to play these songs together; in fact, none of us lifelong musicians really knew if we’d ever be able to play music for a live audience ever again,” Iero recounts. “‘Permanent Rebellion’ is about taking back what is rightfully yours,” Rule added. “We wanted to do something where you can hear all our bands in it and yet, not have it sound like any one in particular. Our roots are punk rock and hardcore, and the vibe is hope for all the lost souls.”

Early praise has come from all corners of music’s global literati including StereogumNMEConsequenceOnes to WatchBrooklyn VeganRevolverKerrangAlternative Press, and Loudwire just to name a few.

In their 5-STAR review, New Noise declared, “Past Lives may be one of the best and most unexpected albums to drop this year,” adding, “Every song is a masterclass in songwriting…You are not going to want to miss this album.” SPIN also stated, “Every member of L.S. Dunes contributes their unique world-class abilities to the melting pot of the band, all pushing each other to new heights in the process.” Sputnik said Past Lives is, “absolutely thrilling,” and Rock Sound’s (UK) rave review affirmed, “The stunning title track is a sentimental, inspiring, undeniable piece of alternative music genius that will stick with you, and the band that created it, for years to come.”

L.S. Dunes made their highly anticipated debut performances at Chicago’s RIOT FEST on September 15 and Sacramento’s AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL on October 8.  Both dates featured songs from the new album, a taste of the energetic, cathartic shows fans will experience on their upcoming headlining U.S. tour, which begins tomorrow, Saturday November 12 at the Garden Amphitheater in Garden Grove, CA.

ABOUT L.S. DUNES:
L.S. DUNES super-charge their heavy anthems with punk energy into a sound unlike anything that has come before it. Going deep on issues of fearlessness, dependency, nonconformity, and impermanence, writing for the album was a collaborative effort.
