It’s third time lucky for The Paradox Twin! They were booked to play next Monday, August Bank Holiday, at Wokingham Festival but regular guitarist John Mitchell had other commitments so the band recruited a dep for the show. Unfortunately he had to pull out last week due to personal issues that were out of his control. The band were concerned that they might have to pull out of the festival but then Alistair Bell, guitarist from the band’s White Star Records label mates, Kepler Ten, stepped in to save the day.
Danny Sorrell commented – ‘It was certainly a stressful time when we had no guitarist with two weeks to go to Wokingham but I’ve seen Alistair play with Kepler Ten and I was really impressed so, having someone that good step in, was such a relief. I’m so looking forward to playing with him. It’s going to make it a very special performance’.
Alistair Bell commented – ‘When Chris from White Star called me to ask if I was free on August Bank Holiday Monday to play with a band that had lost their guitarist at short notice I was happy to help. When he told me that it was The Paradox Twin, I was even more happy to help! I’ve been quickly learning the set and it’s such great music that I can’t wait to play with them, especially at Wokingham Festival which I’ve loved playing at previously with both Kepler Ten and The Room’.
August Bank Holiday Monday is Day 3 of the festival. Gates open at 11am with music running non stop over two stages that day until 8pm. The Paradox Twim join headliners Ozric Tentacles plus other great artists including That Joe Payne (with full band!), Amanda Lehmann, Spriggan Mist, Hoopy Frood, Storm Deva and more.
Graham Brown, drummer with The Paradox Twin will also be playing keyboards as part of That Joe Payne’s band! It should be quite a day!
Tickets available on the gate. On the Monday 26th August (Day 3 of the festival) gates open at 11am. Music runs from midday to 8pm.
