Finnish industrial metallers KING SATAN have unleashed their brand new full-length record “The Devil’s Evangelion” via Noble Demon. To celebrate the release in a fitting manner, the band has released a captivating music video for the track “Destroy The World” to further fuel the excitement. Watch the video here:
“As The Devil’s Evangelion is thematically something of an ultimate King Satan album, we wanted to include this new version of Destroy the World to create a ‘circle-closing’ moment in the album’s arc, embracing the paradoxical themes we’ve explored since the beginning. We aren’t typically known for slower-paced songs with a melancholic touch, as our singles usually showcase very different sides of our music. So, we thought it was time to present this side from us too. The music video might be, at the same time, the simplest yet most complex King Satan video to date, as I, the director, embraced dreamlike absurdism, symbolism, and surrealism in a very minimalistic way.” Mr. King Aleister Satan comments and explains the album’s concept further: ”’The Devil’s Evangelion’ is a concept album concentrating on the duality and the paradoxical nature of reality. This concept stems from a trickster-like narrative that becomes convinced about being possessed by the Devil, leading to an experience of reality through the Devil’s eyes.”
Since their formation in late 2015, KING SATAN has consistently pushed the boundaries of extreme music. Blending elements of electro-industrial, symphonic black metal, death metal, and rock ‘n’ roll, and the band’s chaotic and theatrical sound has garnered a dedicated fanbase.
Led by the enigmatic Mr. King Aleister Satan, KING SATAN‘s music brings forth an anarchistic blend of carnivalesque artistry, absurdist dark comedy, occult intrigue, and in-depth philosophical ponderings, served in an intoxicating blend of rocking dance beats, thought-provoking lyrics, mesmerizing melodies, and addictive hooks the band themselves have titled as ‘death metal disco’. A fusion fit for both dance floors and mosh pits. With all these elements, the band defies conventions and embraces controversy the way which should not really make much sense on paper – and yet, it has consistently helped to create more and more buzz for the band wherever they go.
Unfortunately, due to production delays, the physical release of “The Devil’s Evangelion” has been pushed back a few weeks to December 6th. The album will be available on LP, CD, and digital formats. Unfortunately, these delays also affect the release of the accompanying lyric book, “The Devil’s Evangelion and the Law of Chaos”.
“The Devil’s Evangelion and the Law of Chaos” is a compilation of all published lyrics written for KING SATAN between 2015 and 2024 by its bandleader, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, Seth Aleisterde King Satan. This opus is acompanied by selected lyrics and related interview excerpts from his longest-running band, Saturnian Mist (est.2006), to offer a holistic outlook on the artist’s unorthodox and trickster-like vision of Satanism, Ocultism, Mysticism and Spiritual Anarchy.
