Constructions Illusions LP is the 8th solo album by Leslie Da Bass (Leslie Laasner). The digital version of the album was released in April 2022. The album was completed within a few months, largely influenced by the war in Ukraine and the emotions surrounding it. “I can’t imagine myself creating bright pop music right now, as if nothing has happened, as if our perception of reality has not changed,” Leslie has said to the media

Today, Leslie Da Bass (LDB) is known and appreciated by the audience first and foremost as an indie and pop music artist, but there are still people who know that actually, his core is made of metal – as he started his first thrash metal band Misnamed already in the 1980s.
Later Leslie was one of the founding members of the legendary Estonian industrial metal band Pedigree – a collective that always remained true to their initial style, at the same time successfully capturing the attention of the audiences who never before had considered themselves as metal fans.
Over the years LDB has collected numerous awards from the Estonian Music Awards mainly in the genres of pop and electronic music. His recent return to the metal scene has been a pleasant surprise for the audience and the music critics as well. One thing is sure – LDB’s musical spectrum has always been characterized by
eclecticism. He has released more than 20 albums as a member of various Estonian cult bands such as Pedigree, Borax, Holmes and HU?
His most recent album Constructions / Illusions consists of 10 songs, where the soundscapes of many of Leslie’s most important musical influencers over the years – such as Carcass, Paradise Lost, Napalm Death – can be traced. It can be said that the shades of the 90s trash scene in general are very present.
The white vinyl of Constructions / Illusions was released in limited quantities and can only be purchased directly from the author himself – if you are lucky.
