Armed with thunderous riffs, pounding grooves, tribal chanting and ancestral folk instruments, these metallic warriors are fierce champions of the historic struggles of the Mapuche people.

This Saturday, Mawiza are performing at the Taiwan Pasiwali Festival, which celebrates the brave, adventurous and romantic spirit of aestronesian culture. On November 30, the band are playing a special acoustic set at Fluvial, an international conference that showcases talent from across the Chilean music industry. More live dates are planned for next year, including appearances at major European summer festivals.
“We are excited to announce that we are now part of Season of Mist, a label that has supported and promoted bands we deeply respect”, Mawiza says.
“Our hearts are strengthened. As part of the indigenous Mapuche Nation, we must first give thanks to the natural energies that made this possible.
With this new partnership, our music is ready to root like a tree in new territories and break through the concrete of the largest cities, always guided by the wisdom of our ancestors and the will of our land.
Our next album is on its way. With the support of Season of Mist, we are confident it will be our most powerful work to date.
We want to thank mother nature that governs us all and the spirits that protect our sacred land of Wallmapu for their guidance and deliverance.
Might our inner power be a fresh breeze in the midst of the battle!
Might our people survive! Might our struggle continue!”
