MOB RULES
***New Live Album ‘Beast Over Europe’ Unleashed September 13th on Steamhammer / SPV***
“Mob Rules are back with a vengeance, boasting some of their best riffs, melodies and symphonic ideas with tunes like ‘Traveller In Time’ and the excellent opener, ‘Ghost Of A Chance’. Seriously, that key change in the chorus comes from nowhere and makes you realise you’re listening to a band at its peak. There are a lot of highs on this record; they have become much more cinematic of late, especially with the ‘Tales From Beyond’ album, but ‘Beast Reborn’ takes them back a bit to the heavy end of ‘Cannibal Nation’, letting the guitars take charge. I haven’t jammed a power metal album like this in a long time. Fans of Iron Maiden, Edguy and Serenity will adore it. One of the year’s essentials. 9/10” (Bruce Turnbull, Powerplay Magazine August 2018)
Outstanding German melodic metal six-piece Mob Rules, whose ninth studio album, ‘Beast Reborn’, was hugely acclaimed on release last Summer, are set to unleash their first live album for 14 years, ‘Beast Over Europe’, on Steamhammer / SPV on 13thSeptember as a Digipak CD, download and stream.
‘Beast Over Europe’, which contains 14 of the band’s best songs, all expertly recorded at select venues on the band’s ‘Beast Reborn’ tour around Europe (including the UK – with Eden’s Curse in April 2019), fittingly celebrates Mob Rules’ 25th Anniversary.
Having just released their milestone ‘Beast Reborn’ album, (which crashed into the German National album chart at 37), the reinvigorated band were firing on all six cylinders and more than ready to hit the road to reconnect with all their fans, old and new.
Mob Rules, who love their fans as much as their fans love them, interact closely with their audience at every show, each feeding off the other’s incredible vitality, creating a truly unforgettable live atmosphere. ‘Beast Over Europe’ totally captures the uplifting, powerful vibes generated as Mob Rules romped round Europe, tearing their audience off their feet at every gig.
Signifying that close connection with their followers, Mob Rules included their fans in the design process of the new live album artwork when they made an online call to share favourite photos from concerts or experiences with the band from over the last two years.
Reflecting on the fact that ‘Beast Over Europe’ celebrates 25thAnniversary, Mob Rules’ singer and co-founder Klaus Dirks states that “When we started, we hoped to release two or three albums with a renowned label and maybe play a great tour. Who would have thought that there would be NINE albums and HUNDREDS of concerts instead…and our journey is still not over. Without our great fans, we wouldn’t have made any of it – we are very grateful for that!”
