Germany’s Cult Thrashers NECRONOMICON Issue New Studio Updates for Upcoming 11th Studio Album + Reveal Planned Release Date!
Germany’s Cult Thrashers NECRONOMICON are currently busy working on their 11th studio album, today revealing new updates and a planned release date for their yet untitled effort!
Freddy, the band’s frontman and vocalist shares:
“Last Saturday we started with the guitar & vocal recordings. As always we will produce this in our own home studio. At the same time Rik will record the drum parts and Glen has been working on the solos for a few weeks now, so Achim Köhler will get the finished production in the middle of July and will start with the mix & mastering. Planned release date is on November 22nd 2022.
Earlier Freddy revealed on the songs and topics:
“13 songs full of power and hardness. A wide spectrum from typical thrash metal versions over punk-heavy versions to driving midtempi songs.”
As the world is becoming to resemble the H.P. Lovecraft’s Necronomicon (Book of Dead) we have decided to deal with the current situation in Ukraine and in general with the topic of war and violence against children and women. Musically I would like to tie in with “The Final Chapter” and deliver a wide range of song material which also means a new beginning, a new chapter of the band with Rik and Glen at the same time. You can be curious.”
