Between San Francisco, the Alps and Berlin: New The Halo Trees video/single “Birdsong”
The Halo Trees are about to release their second album “Summergloom”, which will be out on October 8, 2021 via Winter Solitude Productions. The fourth and final single to get listeners in the mood for the record is “Birdsong” – released today. As with the previous three singles “Leave No Fear”, “Dark Clouds Over London” and “Invisible”, there is also a video for this, the scenes of which were filmed in Berlin as well as in San Francisco, and the Alps in dizzying heights and on the flat land. A video in black and white aesthetics that brings together urban flair and lonely nature.
“Birdsong” is one of the easier pieces of the upcoming long player “Summergloom”, which, according to the band, is a headphone album, on which there is still something new to discover even after repeated listening. From acoustic elements to increasingly electronic influences to epic sound clusters with a post-rock feeling, the pieces cover a wide dynamic spectrum. Deep, warm vocals, the soundscapes of guitars, synths, violin and bass as well as the drumming, which is heavily dominated by toms, are shaping the record. A rock sound with a lot of depth, feeling and melancholy – just like in “Birdsong”.
The single is now available on all streaming and download portals. The album can also be pre-ordered, in addition to CD and download, also as gatefold vinyl and – exclusively in the Winter Solitude shop and on Bandcamp – as fan packages with shirts and lanyards.
