OCEAN DRIVE RELEASE NEW SINGLE “COMATOSE” VIA HELL FOR BREAKFAST LISTEN HERE

Today, Ocean Drive unveil their latest single, “Comatose”, via Hell For Breakfast. The song marks the beginning of a fully assumed switch in Ocean Drive’s history. Darker and heavier than most hardcore music these days, the band gave this song a powerful sound and aggressive vocal and instrumental changes for an extremely striking and poignant release.

On the single, the band comments:
“With subjects such as delusion, alienation and desperation, Comatose is a relevant song to anyone that finds itself lost in modern society, where no one cares about anyone and where your privileges determine your level of well being.”

The Montreal-based metalcore band released their single, “Losing Sight”, in November, 2021 in protest of government-sanctioned racism in Quebec – watch the video HERE and stream the single HERE. The single was very well received, being added to Spotify’s “New Core”, into rotation at idobi Howl and covered by press including Metal Heads Forever, The Tinnitist, The PRP and more. Symbolizing the collective responsibility in the surge of uprisings against Muslims and other racist movements in the Western World, the “Losing Sight” music video focuses on the idea that political decisions should reflect the right of every person to live a life without having to fear for their beliefs or their lives.

On the single, vocalist Antoine Beauchamp commented: “We in Quebec, and largely Canada, are not doing enough to prevent the increasing violence that is taking place. We need to take a hard look at our public system (political, educational, judicial, etc.) and do the needed work to reform it (or even abolish it). Losing Sight is our way to stand firm against outdated political and social messages.”
